The Library is seeking an Office Associate to provide quality customer service to our Library users.  This position will be scheduled for 35 hours per week during public service hours.

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Library Manager, the Office Associate I:
  • Is responsible for clerical administrative duties.
  • Assists in the revision of Unit timesheets.
  • Prepares monthly fines and fees reports
  • Orders Supplies
  • Responsible for Page Supervision, evaluation, scheduling, and timesheets.
  • Assists the Library Manager with the recruitment, interviewing, and placement of prospective Pages/Tech Aides.
  • Performs public service duties as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required

Required Education, Experience & SkillsRequired Education and Certifications 
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
Required Experience
  • Proficiency with Envisionware and Sierra preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer services including on-line searching and Library resources preferred
Required Skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Successfully demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including the ability to perform multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
  • Strong computer and other related technology skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google applications, PCs, Macs and e-reader devices
  • Preferred language: Spanish
Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities: 
  • May temporarily oversee the library in the absence of the Library Manager
