Position Overview
A Clinical Trials Research Associate (CTRA) I role is available within the Cancer Clinical Trials Office at the Tisch Cancer Institute.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will engage in various tasks, including but not limited to:
- Gathering and documenting research data; entering all relevant information into the database.
- Under the direct guidance of the Principal Investigator(s), securing informed consent and educating participants about study protocols.
- Assisting with clinical research activities, which may include answering inquiries, screening candidates for eligibility, registering participants with the sponsoring organization, and administering lifestyle assessments.
- Maintaining source documents and participant files in compliance with institutional protocols; ensuring thorough and accurate compilation of participant data through chart reviews.
- Managing the collection, delivery, and shipment of clinical specimens as dictated by study protocols.
- Preparing for monitoring visits and ensuring all necessary documentation is organized.
- Facilitating the coordination and management of clinical trials, including communication with sponsors.
- Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline or a closely related field is required. Candidates should possess 1-2 years of research experience, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
