Job Description
The Security Department at MSK is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for hospital staff, visitors, and patients. In this role, you will oversee building entrances, internal floors, and the external perimeters of MSK facilities. Your duties will include investigating incidents, preparing detailed reports, responding to emergencies, and providing necessary assistance. We take pride in our protective role.
Required Experience:- Valid New York State Security Guard License and Fire Guard (F)-1 required for NYC // For NJ: SORA certification.
- Prior experience as a Security Guard, including standing, walking, and/or moving continuously, with the ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Physical capability to respond swiftly to emergencies, including life-threatening situations, disorderly conduct, aggressive behaviors, and crowd control.
- Proficiency in digital tools and the ability to monitor instruments and computers, distinguish characters (letters, numbers, etc.), recognize colors, and observe physical characteristics.
- Understanding of emergency preparedness concepts, basic security principles, and procedures.
- Exhibit ethical behavior, strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and adaptability.
Full-Time: Flexible schedule. Availability on weekends is required.
Pay Range: $22.62-$34.06
