This position exists to coordinate and implement human resource policies, programs, and systems to support the successful attainment of business objectives. This entails working with managers and production leaders in the core areas of staffing, employee relations, compensation, employee development and safety. The most important impact of this position is bringing the employees and management together in meeting business objectives.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Develop deep business relationships that contribute to trustworthy advisement and strategic and tactical HR support
  • Actively coach and support leaders on a range of issues encompassing employee relations, employee development, performance management, and building effective teams
  • Have a regular meeting cadence with assigned leaders to provide proactive HR support and manage aspects of the employee lifecycle
  • Contribute to a cooperative, team environment by demonstrating a willingness to perform other job-related activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of employment law and pending legislation
  • Ability to effectively make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with personal computer applications
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with inspiration and accountability and being a good role model
  • Proactive approach

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive generalist Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of management experience (having direct reports).
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
