The QTI Group is collaborating with Slipstream to find its next Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

Opportunity Overview

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP HR) will be instrumental in defining and executing Slipstream's human capital strategy to cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and high-achieving workplace. The SVP HR will propose and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational success and positively influencing employee satisfaction and corporate culture.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the CEO. Direct reports include the HR Generalist and the Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS Administrator.

Location: Hybrid work model preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a human resources strategy that aligns with the overarching business objectives.
  • Ensure programs and initiatives are tailored to boost employee engagement, foster a high-performance culture, and enhance retention rates.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and business partner to leaders across various functional business units on critical organizational and management matters.
  • Lead the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, retention, training, leadership development, compensation, and benefits, ensuring streamlined processes for each.
  • Design and implement performance management systems that promote development and organizational effectiveness.
  • Establish a succession planning philosophy and related initiatives.
  • Drive equity and inclusion efforts to support a diverse workplace.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet human capital needs and strategic goals.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive and cost-effective compensation and benefits strategies.
  • Oversee organization-wide employee communications.

Education and Certifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree; an MBA or MA/MS in human resources or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR experience, with at least five years in a nonprofit organization.
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is preferred.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a liaison between the CEO, department heads, and employees.
  • Extensive HR experience with a strong understanding of labor and employment law.
  • High emotional intelligence coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in HR and business acumen, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong commitment to equity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
  • Proficient in identifying and optimizing complex systems, such as payroll and performance evaluations, for ease of understanding and use by employees.
  • Skilled in people management, financial budget planning, and compensation strategy.
  • Adept at evaluating and enhancing company-wide people management systems.
  • Proficient with HR software tools, including employee engagement platforms and applicant tracking systems; experience with Paycom is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interviewing skills.
  • Ability to stay updated on industry trends and business developments.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
  • Experience in crisis management is preferred.
