Position Title: Operations Manager
Main functions:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to manufacturing operations and drive world-class performance that aligns with the needs of our customers. Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Reports to: VP/General Manager
Duties:
Will lead and direct assigned departments to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation of company. Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility. Ensuring operational readiness of the manufacturing area and associated processes.
Actively support and participate in the leadership of Health and Safety initiatives within the company by demonstrating a broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
Ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality and responsiveness.
Direct and lead team using best practices and continuous improvement and established ISO 13485 procedures.
Work to lead in the reduction of scrap and to remove constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity allocating human and equipment resources.
Review and guide established production schedules to ensure established production requirements are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible maximizing resources available.
Employment and Educational Requirements:
10+ years' progressive operations and manufacturing experience in a senior management role.
Ideal candidate to have business or management education or training background.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
Knowledge of basic accounting and accounting software systems such as SAGE.
Participative management style -must be a hands-on, take-charge leader with a strong sense of urgency. Develop knowledge of each of the production methods to support future training and cross-training.
Knowledge of ISO 13484 or ISO 9001 and familiarity with preparing and supporting annual audits.
Ability to lift and handle up to 70 lbs.

Experience reading technical documentation and engineering prints.
Work requires excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must possess strong self motivation, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills with the ability to motivate, assess and develop employee skills to attain established goals.
Working conditions:
Office and production floor environment, computer and desk work.
