Job Summary:

The Lloyd Hotel, Hilton Tapestry Collection is seeking a Director of Sales and. The Director of Sales primary responsibility will be leading, driving, and maximizing sales potential including group and transient segments. The Director of Sales is also responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue goals and helping to drive sales initiatives. This role will report directly to the Regional Director of Sales.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for staying ahead of market trends, tracking market share movement, and conducting ongoing multiple hotel analysis.
  • Identify demand generators, supply/demand and economic factors affecting hotel performance.
  • Generate, maintain, and secure inquiries, proposals, and group contracts all while providing excellent high-end customer service.
  • Execute strategies to solicit new business while maintaining and sustaining great customer relationships with existing business.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts for local accounts, corporate and social group travel.
  • Work directly with Regional DOS to execute sales strategies and expand client base.
  • Perform soliciting efforts including cold calls and sales blitzes to expand client base by signing negotiated rate agreements that are beneficial for client and hotel.
  • Responsible for GDS loading in GDM forms and assists Regional DOS and Director of Revenue with analyzing consortia performance.
  • Handle and respond to all major RFP’s in Lanyon, OnQ, CVENT and Hotel Planner.
  • Work directly with the Regional Director of Sales and Director of Revenue on rate strategy and execution.
  • Participate in weekly revenue strategy meetings and monthly/quarterly marketing meetings.
  • Collect client payments in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate all details to staff members regarding transient accounts and group business through group resumes/BEO’s.
  • Act as the hotel’s voice for the customer and communicate key information to General Manager and hotel operations staff.
  • Stay up to date with the necessary Hilton trainings.
  • Record and process invoicing for companies with master accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with GM and hotel operations team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow up with client’s post-stay.
  • Attend networking functions as needed.
  • Participate in hosting booths at corporate and wedding expos.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of sales experience
  • Some hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and professional, friendly demeanor
  • Outgoing and friendly personality
