Our Interview Process:

At Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. we believe in finding the best talent and ensuring they're the right fit for our team. Our comprehensive interview process is designed to not only evaluate your skills and experience but also give you a taste of what it's like to work with us. Here's a breakdown of our process:

 

1. Interview with HR Director: You'll have the opportunity to meet with our HR Director to further discuss the position, your qualifications, and how you align with our company values.

3. Background Check and Drug Test: To ensure the safety and security of our team and clients, we conduct a thorough background check and drug test as part of our hiring process.

4. Final Interview with Corporate - You will have a final interview with a member of our Corporate Team, either our Director of Operations or President/CEO.

4. Orientation:
Part A: Day 1-Day 2: During the first phase of our working interview, you'll complete the First Sun EAP training. This comprehensive program familiarizes you with industry-wide professionalism standards through training guides, videos, and knowledge tests.

Part B: Day 3-Day 5: In the second phase, you'll engage in on-the-job training specific to the position you're applying for. As a Fulfillment Support Specialist, such duties may include but not limited to:

    • Answering phones and recording messages
    • Receiving incoming calls from potential customers and documenting information in our CRM software
    • Facilitating communication within the Fulfillment Department
    • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities
    • Compiling material purchase orders and submitting them for approval to the Fulfillment Director
    • Receiving, auditing, loading and offloading project materials


Depending on your performance and the complexity of the role, this phase may be extended by another 5 working days. You'll be compensated at a rate of $12.50/hour for this week-long working orientation. At the end of this stage, you'll have the opportunity to negotiate your starting salary with upper management as you transition into a full-time employee.


Position Overview:

The Fulfillment Support Specialist will play a critical role in our operations by managing inventory, organizing materials in the warehouse, and assisting with material retail sales/design operations for our Fulfillment & Retail Department. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse/material retail environment, strong organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our team and support our mission of delivering exceptional construction projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Material Retail Operations
    • Create project documentation – Inventory, organize and catalog all interior finishes, fixtures and furnishings for all projects and provide a consolidated “Pre-Construction” packet to include all previous contracts, addendums, renderings and project specifications to present to the Field Department prior to project commencement.
    • Provide consistent communication and the utmost level of customer service to our customers to keep them informed of their pre-construction and/or in-progress construction status within the Fulfillment Department a minimum of twice a week.
    • Compilation of finalized finish selections and creation of Finishes Contract to submit to the Fulfillment & Retail Manager for review and approval prior to selling to customers.
  • Design Operations
    • Creation of 2D and 3D computer aid design drawings, which could include floor plans, elevations, sections, details, perspective drawings and renderings.
    • Facilitate 3D renderings adjustments during finish appointments as required.
  • Order Fulfillment/Warehouse Operations
    • Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality
    • Organize and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse, ensuring accurate stock counts
    • Assist with loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks or other equipment
    • Keep warehouse clean and organized, following safety guidelines and best practices
    • Perform regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and identify areas for improvement
    • Utilize inventory management software to track and monitor inventory movements
    • Handle material returns and process paperwork as needed
  • Department Operations
    • Maintain entries in Monday.com, BuilderTrend.com, and digital cloud-based storage locations to facilitate providing information to clients.
    • Maintain showroom samples in a workable and organized manner.
    • Provide support and assistance to other interdepartmental team members as needed to ensure the success of company initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory management role
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
