We are currently looking for a **Transportation Liaison Peer Support Specialist** to enhance our growing team. This role involves utilizing a diverse skill set to safely transport clients to our treatment facilities, providing recovery-oriented services to individuals facing behavioral health challenges, and acting as a bridge between local healthcare providers and the business community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport clients from various locations to treatment facilities.
  • Engage positively with jails, shelters, social workers, and other entities that may require transportation services.
  • Deliver curriculum-based services within correctional facilities.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Foster positive communication with all potential clients.
  • Participate in necessary staff and regulatory training.
  • Collaborate with peers to establish wellness and recovery objectives.
  • Document all peer contact services within 24 hours.
  • Fulfill a minimum of one hour of documented individual supervision monthly.
  • Maintain 6 CEU credits annually for certification.
  • Exhibit punctuality and organization in scheduling and client relations.
  • Adhere to program policies while upholding a professional code of ethics.
  • Develop and sustain community partnerships, particularly with local courts and hospitals.
  • Work closely with the intake department to assess client needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with intake staff and external agencies.
  • Build connections with media, government, and community organizations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Peer Support Certification from the state of Kentucky or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Eligibility criteria include a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety, a substance abuse diagnosis, and completion of treatment.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
