As a leader in our industry, we now have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America. 

 

Aypa is seeking a People Operations Generalist to join our dynamic and high-achieving team. This role will ensure that People operations run smoothly and efficiently. By maintaining high standards and fostering a positive employee experience, this position contributes significantly to Aypa's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, value precision and adaptability, and take a proactive approach to their work.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the People & Culture team and broader Aypa team;
  • Act as liaison between Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and company to ensure seamless service integration;
  • Aid in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures;
  • Support annual compensation and benefits review process and handle related duties;
  • Generate, analyze, and produce reports on HR metrics for various stakeholders;
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
  • Ensure data integrity across databases and within Human Resource Information System (HRIS);
  • Conduct annual compensation reviews and handle related duties;
  • Administer employee leave programs and handle immigration-related tasks;
  • Address and resolve employee questions and issues;
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes;
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement and retention initiatives;
  • Ensure employees are informed of upcoming initiatives, changes, and updates by supporting internal communication efforts;
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency while staying current with best practices and emerging trends;
  • Other administrative duties and projects as required or assigned.

 

Key Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR or People Ops role, preferably in a growth company or startup;
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
  • Proficiency in using HRIS and maintaining data integrity;
  • Experience with HR analytics and the ability to leverage data for strategic HR decision-making;
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements;
  • Ability to work independently with high integrity and confidentiality;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

 

Compensation and Location:

 

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;

Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
