Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable projects that power our communities and cities. As a leader in our industry, we now have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America.
Aypa is seeking a People Operations Generalist to join our dynamic and high-achieving team. This role will ensure that People operations run smoothly and efficiently. By maintaining high standards and fostering a positive employee experience, this position contributes significantly to Aypa's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, value precision and adaptability, and take a proactive approach to their work.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to the People & Culture team and broader Aypa team;
- Act as liaison between Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and company to ensure seamless service integration;
- Aid in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures;
- Support annual compensation and benefits review process and handle related duties;
- Generate, analyze, and produce reports on HR metrics for various stakeholders;
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
- Ensure data integrity across databases and within Human Resource Information System (HRIS);
- Conduct annual compensation reviews and handle related duties;
- Administer employee leave programs and handle immigration-related tasks;
- Address and resolve employee questions and issues;
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes;
- Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement and retention initiatives;
- Ensure employees are informed of upcoming initiatives, changes, and updates by supporting internal communication efforts;
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency while staying current with best practices and emerging trends;
- Other administrative duties and projects as required or assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience in an HR or People Ops role, preferably in a growth company or startup;
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification;
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
- Proficiency in using HRIS and maintaining data integrity;
- Experience with HR analytics and the ability to leverage data for strategic HR decision-making;
- Proven ability to build strong relationships;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements;
- Ability to work independently with high integrity and confidentiality;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Compensation and Location:
Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;
Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.
