Who we want:
United Way for Greater Austin is seeking a Human Capital Generalist with an exceptional customer service attitude In this position, you will serve the United Way family through payroll processing, reporting and compensation analytics, benefits administration, regulatory compliance reporting, and onboarding. You may also support some generalist services, including supporting diversity, equity and inclusion, and learning and development work, and maintaining HR metrics.

What you’ll do:
- Full processing of bi-weekly payroll and the reconciliation and transmittal of benefits contributions
- Onboarding new hire HR/Payroll processing
- Participate in facilitating and presenting in new employee orientation and other training as required.
- Administer the organization's annual open enrollment process.
- Update benefit or employee changes in all relevant systems, and perform any necessary subsequent benefits audits.
- Regulatory and compliance administration
- Serve as primary contact for FMLA and Disability: initiates medical and option forms; arranges for their completion and submission within the time limits
- Communicate effectively and articulately in writing and orally with managers and team members.
- Support recruiting, performance management, and employee training
- Update policies and procedures
- Support HC Department by collaboratively and resourcefully servicing managers and employees with inquiries and requests.
- Support other projects and tasks as assigned
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of payroll processing experience
- 2-3 of benefits administration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to operate professionally under a variety of working conditions;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
- Strong team building skills; ability to work well with staff in all departments; comfortable working with diverse groups
