Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday - Half Day Fridays in the Summer

Position Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track incoming payments and transactions.
  • Apply customer payments accurately to invoices and accounts.
  • Contact customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain a record of all collection activities and customer communications.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoices and payments.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the status of accounts receivable, including aging reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis of accounts receivable data.
  • Address customer inquiries and disputes regarding billing and payments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and prompt payment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in audits and other compliance-related activities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Previous experience in accounts receivable or administrative roles involving invoicing or financial transactions is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and precision while handling payments and sensitive information
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data entry software, invoicing systems, spreadsheets, and general computer skills.
