Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in managing the Accounts Receivable department, ensuring precise and timely processing of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal billing processes between logistics and retail divisions, including monitoring load requests and invoicing.
  • Guide and support retail locations on Mechanic Liens, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Manage customer payment postings, process credit adjustments, and oversee the AR communication channels.
  • Handle customer account setups, modifications, and credit evaluations.
  • Collaborate with retail locations and clients to address aged receivables.
  • Lead and mentor the AR team, promoting professional growth and accuracy in their responsibilities.
  • Identify and resolve issues while striving for continuous improvement in AR processes.
  • Work closely with the Controller to enhance AR policies and procedures.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to address AR-related challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate monthly finance charges on customer accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements.
  • Establish and maintain controls to safeguard financial processes.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding statements and credit card transactions.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and authorize credit adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist in collection efforts for overdue accounts.
  • Support system maintenance and security initiatives.
  • Participate in the implementation of new software systems.
  • Adapt to support special projects as they arise.
  • Deliver results with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and provide coverage during team absences.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, financial software, and ERP systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including various physical activities.
