Summary

The Copywriter works closely with all Marketing sub-departments and Executive Leadership to create, write, research, and edit written content used for marketing, advertising, and public relations. The Copywriter is responsible for accurately reflecting the Soboba Casino Resort brand through various writing tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with property departments to develop or revise a variety of content marketing materials, including, brochures, sales kits, menu’s, etc.
  • Produce written content for print, electronic and digital media communications
  • Continuously proof read and edit company print, website, eblast, digital ads and mobile application.
  • Create high-engagement social media content that reflects the Soboba’s brand voice
  • Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
  • Research and create content for press rereleases, byline articles, blogs, media alerts, social post, scripts, presentations, websites, brochures, sales materials, and others, as needed
  • Produce error-free content that adheres to the company’s/ client’s style guidelines
  • Attend weekly, monthly, or as needed client and company meetings
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Review new methodologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in copywriting strategy
  • Working on a wide range of marketing materials ensuring the message and tone of written communications is consistent and fits with the overall brand.
  • Produces and develops works under the guidance of the Creative Supervisor.
  • Organize and prioritize projects delegated through project management system to ensure proper deadlines are met and allow advanced publicity of advertisements/needs.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.


Education / Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age, or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associates (AA) degree in related field, preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in related industry required.
  • Strong understanding of current persuasive marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices required.
  • Proficient in Adobe PDF, Web applications, project management systems, and other software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
