A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHEDULE COORDINATOR

The scheduling coordinator is the primary point of contact between our patients and our health care staff and is responsible for coordinating work schedules between them. As a Scheduler you will use our client management software to match staff and clients based on availability. With over 100 staff and 300 clients, the Scheduler must be organized, focused and able to communicate well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling staff PCA and LNA with clients
  • Establishing weekly/weekend/monthly coverage schedules
  • On-call rotation; 2 weeks a month including the weekends
  • Daily communication with clients/staff to address changes to schedules, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Ability to talk and make changes in computer simultaneously required; (multi-tasking).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
  • Excellent computer skills required.
  • Ability to interact with clients and staff in a courteous and professional manner in stressful situations required.
  • Prior scheduling experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
