Overview

The Patient Access Coordinator I plays a crucial role in ensuring that patients are accurately identified and registered within the healthcare system. This position involves gathering comprehensive demographic, insurance, and clinical data to maintain precise records and facilitate timely billing for individuals receiving medical services. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing the scheduling of same-day appointments, tests, and examinations while providing reception support and overseeing patient flow in various service areas, including Outpatient Services, Offsite Laboratories, Specimen Collection Centers, and Emergency Departments.

Educational Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience Requirements

  • Prior experience in customer service is essential.
  • Familiarity with computerized information systems is required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Flexibility to accommodate varying scheduling needs, including shifts and holidays.

Compensation: $25.41 per hour
