The Project Coordinator will assist in the successful planning and execution, administrative and financial management of assigned projects while driving continuous improvement through the use of construction management related technologies, processes, and procedures. Project coordination responsibilities include schedule preparation, document control, performance management of vendors, accuracy of financial forecasts that tie-in to project schedules and completion of projects according to project plans. This role will communicate with clients, contractors, vendors and internal business partners to support the planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and favorable financial outcome of assigned construction projects.


The Project Coordinator will support and improve the Project Management function by driving the project workflow, including project set-up, drawing management, submittal review, punch process and project close-out through the set-up, implementation, and management of technologies such as ProCore.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize Procore or other software technologies, processes, tools, and standards to produce desired project results .
  • Understand and maintain a thorough grasp of contract documents and subcontracts, financials, and schedules on assigned projects.
  • Create, distribute, and manage contract documents, shop drawings and job files.
  • Coordinate the review and processing of submittals to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project schedule.
  • Provide periodic updates of the submittal register to the Dant project manager, customer or architect.
  • Job cost analysis and updating of monthly project financials and billing schedules.
  • Manage project closeout and obtain all warranties required for final acceptance.
  • Maintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completion.
  • Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained.
  • Determine alternative work methods as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred, but certain combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years related Project Coordinator experience in commercial construction, design-assist environment.
  • Proficient with Procore or other construction document management software such as BIM 360 Team, Procore, PMWeb, etc.
  • Proficient with Bluebeam Revu or other PDF viewer
  • Familiar with AutoCAD 2D/3D, Revit or other BIM software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret structural, civil, and architectural plans.
  • Ability to review, understand and maintain shop drawings, as-builts, red-line drawings, etc.
  • Possess an understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of owning successful projects from start to finish.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be willing to travel for work from time to time as needed, including on short notice if circumstances are deemed appropriate by direct supervisor
  • Strong teamwork orientation, natural curiosity, initiative, professional communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
