**NOTE: MUST have Accounting experience in the CONSTRUCTION industry**
Our client is seeking a skilled and organized accounting assistant to join their fast-paced and growing team. This individual will have demonstrated and verifiable experience within the construction industry working in accounts payable and accounts receivable administrative tasks. This individual will work directly with our accounting team and operations department. Within your position you are subject to but not limited to the following responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:
  • Work with Business Development for Project Set Up.
  • Creating Schedule of Values.
  • Creating & Sending Payment Applications to Customers.
  • Insurance and Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) management.
  • Recording & Tracking Payments in Database.
  • Tracking & Monitoring Payment Application Statuses.
  • Managing Conditional & Unconditional Lien Waivers and Notices.
  • Updating client accounts based on payment or contact information.
  • Communicating with clients and customers to request and arrange payments.
  • Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed.

Accounts Payable:
  • Expert project management and organizational skills.
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Processing due invoices for payments.
  • Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording entries.
  • Creating & Tracking Job Cost Reports for Project Managers.
  • Manage invoice data entry.
  • Vendor Account Management.
Skills Required:
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with financial management software.
  • Construction knowledge and/or expertise is a must.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks is a must.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Great organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism.
  • Ability to analyze & participate in workflow processes n communication skills.
