Essential Duties: 

Reviewing contract documents to ensure the project setup and invoicing parameters in the Company’s ERP system match the agreed upon contract terms and resolve discrepancies by working with sales, operations, and the customer Calculating, preparing, maintaining, and reconciling accurate and timely customer invoices Establish relationships with the appropriate sales, operations and customer contacts that will allow timely resolution of disputes. Must be able to exercise judgement while addressing customer disputes or issues on the contract terms and pricing; and must therefore be able to read and understand basic contract terms Monitoring his or her assigned accounts and determine when the customer’s payment patterns that require engagement by Credit or Sales Responsible for managing all outstanding receivables and determining when operations or credit should be engaged to avoid write-offs Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and by email with sales, operations, customers, legal and customers. Must be able to establish a working relationship with the customer to allow timely resolution of issues Assisting the Corporate A/R group in developing new processes and consolidating remote A/R accounting groups, to result in cost savings and more consistent and accurate A/R functions Must have a full understanding of the Company’s ERP system to effectively utilize the query tools, make effective use of the processes and procedures imbedded within the system and should be able to assess and recommend where automation opportunities exist by working with the client for electronic invoicing (and take the lead to achieve this automation) Schedule and attend meetings with customer representatives to ensure that the customer’s needs and requirements are being addressed Managing and scheduling all responsibilities and tasks to meet month-end close deadlines Collaborating with management and system specialist in the design, development, and installation of various software solutions to enable the department to effectively perform its function with optimal resources Interfacing with internal and external auditors Assisting with special projects within accounting and cross-functionally with other departments

Requirements:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of experience in equivalent role OTHER: JDE, GetPaid, and ImageNow experience preferredKnowledge of accounting concepts and must be able to produce high quality output (invoices, account reconciliations, documented collection calls)Customer service orientation and negotiation skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as superior attention to detailAbility to function in a fast-paced, team-based environmentAdvanced organizational skills, a high level of self-motivation, ability to work independently/efficiently in a high-pressure environment, and a proven ability to manage multiple, competing, priorities through to completionAbility to work effectively with a wide variety of people, strong communication skills, both written and oral
