Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an opportunity for an Office Administrator who provides administrative and clerical support for our Department of Corrections site. This position does not supervise other employees. This position receives regular instruction and supervision.
Responsibilities
- Processes patient admissions, discharges and transfers.
- Completes pre-admission and admission intakes.
- Completes word processing and filing duties.
- Process Resident Budget Sheets, weekly checks, and monetary deposits.
- Processes orders for the patient marketplace.
- Generates and responds to correspondence.
- Acts as the program’s receptionist, via phone answering, directing calls, responding to requests for information, and in-person greeting
- Sends, sorts and distributes the program’s mail.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reports for submission to the Department of Corrections.
- Corrects accuracy of daily patient counts provided to Department of Corrections when necessary.
- Orders and keeps inventory of forms and office supplies.
- Ensures office equipment is functional.
- Assists with preparation of licensing and accreditation visits as needed.
- Maintains information on staff training hours.
- Performs monitor duties as needed.
- Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word.
- Ability and skill to utilize a variety of office equipment.
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Requirements
- Post high school education
- Two years office experience preferred
Other Requirements
- Pass a PA Department of Corrections Clean Check.
- Valid driver license and favorable driving record.
- Obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Work Environment
- Department of Corrections facility
- Favorable working conditions.
- Minimal physical demands.
- Mental demands include those involved with attention to detail and the need for accuracy.
