Descriptive Summary:

The Bowen Group, a values-led, industry leader in telehealth, health communications, and wellness services and staffing is searching for Project Support Specialist. This is a part-time position located in the National Capital Region or virtually.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Perform daily tasks for the contract that includes:

  • Provide project management support including document management, and submitting and tracking tasks in the company's project management system and government's project management system
  • Following up on the progress of action items and other tasks and reporting to the Operations Manager
  • Supporting team members in completing their tasks to ensure they meet milestones.
  • Updating and organizing project files, such as meeting minutes, progress reports, and other documents.
  • Attend project meetings to assist Operations Manager and to keep informed about projects and identify upcoming activities
  • Work closely with Operations Managers to ensure that that all of the client needs are understood and addressed
  • Work with a 5+ person cross-functional team consisting of a graphic designer, writer, strategist, web content manager, social media manager and other key staff on projects and other deliverables
  • Use the company's project management system to monitor long- and short-term project plans, ensuring that client deliverables adhere to established deadlines
  • Support the development of required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports
  • Maintain meeting minutes of internal and government meetings for internal use

Education and Work Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a communication-related discipline and education or training in strategic planning.
  • Work Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a related field.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Military quality of life programs.
  • Project management and quality control.
  • Principles of excellent leadership and peer management skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate team ideas and solutions to clients.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work with a blended local and virtual team of, writers, graphic designers, multimedia designers, researchers, reporting specialists, accessibility specialists, strategic communication specialists and event/meeting support specialists.
  • Experience in DOD Programs.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
