Summary

New Morning Schools is a growing Child Care facility with multiple off site before and after school locations.

We are looking for a candidate to assist in the recruitment, screening, interview, and onboarding of new applicants. This position will also be responsible for assigning placements for new team members as well as handling all schedule changes. The position will require someone with flexibility who has the ability to change their schedule as needed to accommodate the changing schedules of our current team members as well as potential new hires.

Duties

As an HR Assistant for our growing Child Care and Out-of-School Time programs, your role would involve managing various human resources functions within our organization. Here are some key responsibilities and tasks you might handle in this role:
  • Recruitment and Selection: You would be responsible for attracting and hiring qualified staff members to work in the school-age care program. This involves creating job postings, reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Once new employees are hired, you would coordinate their onboarding process, ensuring they have the necessary information, training, and resources to succeed in their roles. This may involve conducting orientation sessions and providing relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Daily Schedules and Address any Changes: You would be responsible for scheduling for all 14 off-site locations as well as providing direct support for schedule changes for planned or unplanned events.
  • Training and Development: You would identify training needs within the organization and coordinate the delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. This may include organizing workshops, seminars, or online learning opportunities.
  • Compliance and Policy Administration: You would ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies. This includes maintaining accurate employee records, updating employee handbooks, and communicating policy changes to staff.
  • Stay Updated with Employment Laws: It's crucial to stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate any legal risks for the organization.
  • Understand Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations: We follow all NH State Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations. To stay in compliance with these rules, the HR Assistant would need to stay up to date with CCLU changes or revisions.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years or HR experience
  • Experience scheduling 75+ employees
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Microsoft Word
