Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits on time records and other payroll changes to ensure accuracy of payroll
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Calculate wages, deductions and overtime
- Identify, research, investigate and resolve payroll anomalies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies, including 401k
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related filed
- 2+-years of proven payroll accountant or similar role experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel) Payroll system experience; Paylocity is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; Convey information clearly and simply, to and from a wide variety of individuals.
- Ability to focus on and perform detailed work. Ability to synthesize distinct data/information sets to provide insights.
- Approach tasks analytically, applying strong problem-solving skills to ensure effective and efficient outcomes
