Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes and other statutory deductions.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to management, including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages
- Manage and update payroll systems, ensuring they are configured correctly and efficiently.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees promptly and professionally.
- Keep detailed records of payroll transactions, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments.
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in payroll software, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-experts.
