Position SummaryThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of payroll operations, adherence to payroll legislation, and the formulation of payroll policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Administer payroll for all staff members.
- Guarantee compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Maintain precise payroll documentation and reporting.
- Prepare and file payroll tax submissions.
- Oversee year-end activities, including W-2 and 1099 documentation.
- Manage payroll systems, collaborating with HR and finance departments.
- Formulate and revise payroll policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile payroll accounts.
- Address employee payroll inquiries and provide assistance.
- Administer employee benefits programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll management.
- Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations across multiple states.
- Proficient in payroll software, with experience in PAYCHEX and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
