Pomeroy is looking for an energetic Outside Sales Representative responsible for 100% new business development in our Strategic Technical Staffing business. We have recently opened an amazing, modern office in Times Square that will serve as the hub of our emerging New York market. This position requires successful candidates to come with an established network of clients and relationships

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Revenue Generation: Meet and exceed assigned business objectives, specifically focused on Strategic IT Staffing Services Revenue and Gross Profit (GP) targets.
  • Customer Representation: Act as the primary representative of Pomeroy's Strategic Technical Staffing Services to a dedicated customer base.
  • New Business Development: Utilize your existing network to proactively engage in cold calling and relationship-building activities to cultivate new business opportunities and expand the client portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate Pomeroy's service offerings aligned with client IT initiatives.
  • Lead Identification: Leverage market knowledge and professional relationships to identify and cultivate potential customer leads, ensuring business objectives are met.
  • Coverage Plans: Develop comprehensive account coverage plans that strategically align with regional business goals.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain relationships to enhance market presence, facilitate lead generation, and coordinate account mapping and territory planning activities.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare and deliver professional responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), staffing quotes, and Statements of Work (SOWs).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in IT Staffing.
  • Network and Relationships: Proven track record of existing client relationships and a network in the New York metropolitan area.
  • Sales Expertise: Proficient in sales techniques and negotiation tactics.
  • Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), job board tools, and CRM software is advantageous.
  • Prospecting Skills: Demonstrated strong prospecting skills for identifying new business leads.
  • Presentation Skills: Exceptional presentation capabilities, with proficiency in creating impactful presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Professionalism: Highly professional with a keen eye for detail and precision.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as required for business needs.
