Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at VSP Vision Care. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities in a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to retain and grow existing accounts, as well as identify new sales opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, and other industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product offerings, and market data to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to address customer needs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Utilize sales automation systems to manage inquiries, maintain records, and prepare reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four plus years of business-to-business sales and/or account management experience in the employee benefits or healthcare/insurance industry.
  • Results-driven achiever with excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Highly adaptable, positive, resilient, and patient individual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of the time.
  • Clean DMV record.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate state insurance license within six months of employment and meet continuing education requirements.
