Account Manager

Who we're looking for professionally:

We are seeking a talented individual with a creative mind and attention to detail to join our marketing team. The Marketing Manager is the face of the agency, acting as both a sales liaison and a client’s strategic guide for the ever-changing landscape of the advertising wild west. We're passionate about pushing the boundaries of digital + traditional marketing, so as a part of our team, we'll want to hear your input and ideas. But listening well is also a critical skill. We expect - and equip - our team members to stay on the leading edge of design and technology trends.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Account quality control & ability to seamlessly absorb overflow optimization tasks
  • The central point of all communications both internally and externally
  • Holistic strategist, matching capabilities with client needs via proposals
  • Verify delivery and accuracy of all reporting & subsequent billing
  • Routine reports & KPI Checks
  • Confidently remain abreast of agency's new capabilities, nuances, product changes, etc
  • Assessing goals & building proposals for new clients while maximizing offerings
  • Building custom pricing based on projected hours & client lifetime value
  • Seeking & strategizing growth opportunities within current client list
  • Serving as client’s point of contact, using discretion to call upon subject matter experts
  • Aggregating notes from entire team to relay to client
  • Dividing & assigning tasks to team based on specializations & best use of time
  • Goal & delivery monitoring per client
  • Verifying reporting & translating all advertising efforts to clients
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate billing

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication & organization skills are imperative
  • Experience with project management & time tracking tools (We use Asana + Everhour)
  • Understanding of Profit-Driven // Performance Marketing & Metrics
  • 3-5 years of experience in an advertising agency or similar environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Google Ads certification) is a plus.
  • Experience in performance marketing, with a proven track record of managing successful campaigns and driving measurable results.
  • Strong proficiency in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills, capable of simultaneously handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset, capable of developing innovative solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in home and local service-based clients
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as ServiceTitan is a bonus

It's a collaborative effort, so it's important we are open + hold each other accountable as well. As such, that takes a lot of self-confidence, communication, and empathy. Sometimes, an idea we have does not pan out, and we have to own that quickly and objectively. Sometimes we have to analyze + challenge clients' beliefs or processes, and we have to do so sensitively and vulnerably. Most times, we're kickin' ass and making it fun, and we have to be humble and never take our wins for granted. What's important to us is that we have good people who care, and are tough on performance but easy on emotion and realize it's all part of the process, and just be committed to doing the best we can with our fellow people every day we're lucky enough to do it.

We are a passionate people and a flat, non-political organization. Everyone on the team is a senior-level subject matter expert and is respected as such. This means we are always collaborating and experimenting to find the best results possible in an unbiased way. Everybody can + should lend experience to our collective goals of growth for our clients, each other, and our agency. However, everyone has different styles, and that's respected as well. If you are your best self when left alone to grind on your strategies, or super vocal and engaged and want to work directly with your clients and other SMEs, you're empowered and entrusted to do whatever you please to create your best work. Before the world changed, we did monthly happy hours, and instead of taking them virtual, we now do weekly wellness hours on Fridays with a guest speaker. And every 1st Friday that's a no-work day at all, called a FriCAY (like vacay). That, of course, went really well for team happiness + health, so we doubled down + recently declared ourselves an Unlimited PTO organization. Building company culture is a little trickier when you're all virtual, but we try to get creative in staying connected with interesting virtual events, without mandating awkward socialization.
