Position Overview


Infinity is looking for an highly skilled and experienced Satellite Vehicle Operators and Satellite & Ground System Operators to join our team and support 24x7 satellite operation activities and mission planning in the Missile Defense Agency at Schriever SFB, CO. This program falls within the Space Defense Solutions portfolio in the Space Superiority division in Colorado Springs. This role will be responsible for executing satellite command and control operations and performing real-time satellite commanding and telemetry analysis. Responsibilities also include mission planning, training, and conducting all activities associated with satellite operation activities. The operator is responsible for configuring the network ground system, perform troubleshooting actions in response to ground system anomalies and satellite anomalies, and perform overall command and control of satellite operations.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct real-time satellite operations that include commanding and telemetry analysis and anomoly actions as required
  • Support satellite constellation mission planning activities
  • Perform satellite telemetry, tracking and commanding activities on satellite constellation.
  • Configure satellite ground system and network supporting satellite operations.
  • Perform satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding functions.
  • Troubleshooting and solving network and ground system issues
  • Assist with development of training material and training of satellite operators.
  • Perform launch and early orbit checkout and 24/7 real-time satellite operations.
  • Provide operational inputs to engineer and test teams.
  • Assist in developing checklists and procedures for satellite and ground system operations.
  • Operations support includes attending Daily Operations Stand-up meetings, shift changeover meetings, inputs to monthly in-progress review.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Requires strong knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Experience as a Satellite Vehicle Operator or Engineer, to include telemetry, tracking and command, spacecraft procedures.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and directing teams.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 2-5 years' experience performing military satellite operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion.


Education/Experience 

Minimum of high school diploma and 6 years of prior relevant experience or bachelor’s degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience.
