Job Overview

Mount Indie is seeking a dedicated Satellite Communications Field Technician to deliver technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for SATCOM systems in international locations. The ideal candidate will possess experience as a SATCOM technician along with a solid understanding of Signals Intelligence and System Administration. This role involves travel to various overseas locations to ensure the optimal functioning of these systems. Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills for maintaining and troubleshooting SATCOM technologies. The position entails working in 60-day overseas rotations, occurring twice annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support for both commercial and military SATCOM systems.
  • Perform system services including maintenance, testing, operations, logistics, integration, and installation as needed.
  • Administer system and network operations for training and operational systems as required.
  • Act as an on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) as a Field Service Representative (FSR) for military two-satellite geolocation systems and SATCOM equipment.
  • Assist with daily operations, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance for military systems.
  • Collaborate with senior SMEs and Field Engineers to address operational and technical challenges within the systems.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to secure and maintain Security + CE certification within six months of employment.
  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in geolocation technologies.
  • Familiarity with operating or maintaining Electronic or Electromagnetic Warfare systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-frequency band satellite terminals (C, Ku, Ka, and X Bands).
  • Experience in computer system/network administration or maintenance.
  • Background in Systems Engineering and Linux is advantageous.
  • Possession of an active Security + CE Certification is preferred.
