Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for transmissions management and network management of Wideband SATCOM Operational Management System (WSOMS) and other MILSATCOM C2 programs.
  • Serve as a technical consultant for transmissions management and control in the Super High Frequency (SHF) functional area.
  • Develop and coordinate policy and plans for the WGS, GBS, and DSCS programs.
  • Develop definitive technical solutions that consider systems architecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking, expansion potential, and overall end-to-end compatibility.
  • Participate in various Department of Defense (DoD), Joint, and MILDEP planning and working groups.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communications and automation operational challenges.
  • Use knowledge of satellite communications systems and their relationships to other telecommunications networks.
  • Provide technical and operational planning, system configuration, and operational mission support.
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate wideband satellite communications and related information systems plans defining concepts, programmatic, and system initiatives.
  • Develop and provide input to the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).
  • Manage C2 MILSATCOM network management programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Department of Defense (DOD) SATCOM.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher.
  • Proficiency in SATCOM principles, technical analysis, and problem-solving.
  • TS with SCI eligibility.
  • United States citizenship.
