This role requires excellent project management skills, a thorough understanding of the construction process, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for grocery store TI projects.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to develop project specifications and scope of work.
Project Execution:
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of work.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs.
- Implement cost-control measures to ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Approve invoices and ensure timely payment of subcontractors and suppliers.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or delays.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and client expectations.
- Conduct inspections and oversee the punch list process.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce adherence to safety protocols on the job site.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide regular project updates and address client concerns.
- Facilitate client walkthroughs and approvals.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management and clients.
- Ensure all project closeout documentation is completed and submitted.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on grocery store TI projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
