Construction Project Leader

Position Overview:

As a Construction Project Leader, you will take charge of the planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects. Your role will encompass overseeing all facets of the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget constraints, and upholding the highest quality standards. This position necessitates effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Formulate comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, and financial parameters. Establish project goals, deliverables, and milestones to steer project execution.
  • Budget Management: Develop and oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial discipline. Provide regular financial updates and address any budget-related concerns.
  • Schedule Management: Construct and maintain project timelines, ensuring all construction phases are completed as scheduled. Proactively manage any scheduling conflicts or delays.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to guarantee that all work meets or surpasses project specifications and industry standards. Conduct routine inspections and resolve any quality-related issues.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary liaison for clients, offering regular updates and addressing any inquiries. Strive for high levels of client satisfaction and effectively manage client expectations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies. Address and resolve issues as they arise to maintain project momentum.
  • Team Coordination: Direct and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Promote a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and compliance records. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complete.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, demonstrating a successful track record of managing ground-up projects.
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience overseeing a variety of projects, including Office, Medical, K-12, Retail, and Restaurant facilities is highly beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are advantageous.
  • Licenses: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
