CorePath Laboratories in San Antonio is seeking an experienced human resources (HR) manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR practices and procedures, knowledge of state and national labor laws, employee relations, new hire orientations, benefits administration, payroll assistance and general day-to-day staff interaction.

We are a nationally recognized reference pathology laboratory, located in the beautiful Hill Country convenient to IH-10 and The Rim.

The job of HR Manager is important to business success. Responsibilities
 

·  Supports departments in developing their teams by actively recruiting for open positions

· Champions the onboarding process by ensuring that it is efficient, thorough, and effective.

·  Maintains and enhances employee benefits programs to include medical, dental, vision, and 401K

·  Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human-resources policies and procedures

 

· Maintains employee personnel records

·  Handles confidential matters with discretion

·  Ensures compliance with national and local HR regulations, including conducting of investigations when needed and records retention

·  HR activities such as resolving employee grievances, training managers in how to coach and discipline, and counseling employees and supervisors

·  Handles annual insurance benefit renewal processes and bids (when applicable)

Required skills and qualifications

· Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive

· Strong understanding of national and local laws related to HR

· Two or more years of experience in human resources

· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources or related field

· Knowledge of HR systems and databases

· Experience with office systems to include Word, Office, Power Point and Excel

· Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills

· Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset

· Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution


Preferred qualifications:

· PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.
