Client Care Coordinator

You will play a crucial role in facilitating the care and rehabilitation of injured workers within the workers' compensation regulations framework. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that injured employees receive timely and appropriate medical treatment, coordinate with various stakeholders including healthcare providers, employers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives, and advocate for the injured worker throughout the claims process. This role requires a blend of strong interpersonal communication abilities and self-starter organizational skills.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage an ongoing caseload of injured workers to ensure coordination of all appropriate treatments, authorizations, and reporting requirements are met.
- Communication: Chart audits and prep review to ensure injured workers, employers, medical providers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives are provided with the required information on the status of claims, medical record requests, and authorizations.
- Medical Coordination: Assist in the coordination of medical appointments, diagnostic tests, therapy sessions, and transfer of care to specialists, as prescribed by physicians, ensuring timely delivery of care and adherence to treatment plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all interactions and treatments related to each worker’s compensation claim, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse personnel.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite skills to efficiently manage communication and required duties.
- Previous experience in project management, healthcare coordination, or workers' compensation administration preferred.
