Job Responsibilities:

  • Taking inbound calls and returning messages left, to assist the Product Return Specialists in coordinating prompt return of the company’s medical devices rented by patients.
  • Use Salesforce CRM to access and verify patient information and document interactions with patients, their families, field sales personnel, and healthcare providers.
  • Communicate with patients using empathy and compassion via email and phone.
  • Use great judgment to escalate customer calls outside of scope.
  • Facilitate returns using various methods, including FedEx online and collaborating with team members.
  • Comply with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act’s (HIPAA) Privacy Rule and all other applicable statutes, rules, and regulations intended to protect patient privacy.


Job Details:

  • Salary: $24.00 per hour
  • Part-time 4 to 5 days per week (flexible) Monday through Friday
  • 100% Remote
  • Working Hours: 9 am to 1 pm PST
  • 6 month+ contract position with likely extensions


Candidate Requirements:

  • 2+ years of customer interfacing over the phone in a fast-paced environment in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of displaying empathy in all patient interactions.
  • Basic data entry knowledge using a Patient interfacing database or Salesforce (nice but not necessary).
  • Excels in conveying empathy, patience, and caring over the phone with customers.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented with pertinent information (e.g., reference numbers, dates, spelling of names, IDs, phone numbers, email addresses).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills to ensure strict deadlines are met.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
