Job Summary:

The Human Resource Administrator will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including recruiting, training, benefits administration and administering human resources policies and practices.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assist the HR Director in conducting background checks for Managers and/or Camp Counselors.
  • Posting job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms (Craigslist, Company Facebook, linked In, Indeed, ADP, Workforce Solutions, etc.).
  • Removing job advertisements from job board and social media once vacancies have been filled.
  • Preparing and sending rejection letters or emails to non-selected job candidates.
  • Collaborates with department heads to ensure that job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated as duties change and roles evolve.
  • Ensures that new and accurate job descriptions are written when new positions are created and filled.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, employment law and technological advances in human resources.
  • Performs routine task required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting, training and development, benefits and safety.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree Required and/or Bachelor degree in Human Resources preferred
  • Three years of related administrative experience, preferably in human resources
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean MVR.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
