POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Entertainment Operations is responsible for the development and implementation of entertainment and enrichment programming on board. Working with relevant business partners, the role will oversee development of production shows, activities and entertainment/enrichment experiences that are destination-related, aligning with the expectations of today’s affluent traveler.
This position reports to the Head of Hotel Operations to execute new entertainment programs fleet wide to achieve the desired ratings target within the Entertainment Team remit, contributing to total guest satisfaction.

  • Experienced within the leisure and entertainments sector having worked within Cruise / Hotels / Resorts / Theme parks / Theatre.

  • Knowledgeable of commercial operations shown through experience of managing multiple contracts with budgetary responsibility.
  • Familiar with the global entertainment industry including current and future trends, partnership, and talent connections.
  • A strong leader, communicator and motivator with the ability to present, collaborate and inspire team members both in person and working remotely (shore to ship) across multiple areas of the Entertainment programming.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Development and implementation of our entertainment and enrichment programming onboard our ships through partnerships and entertainment concepts that are destination-related, and in line with what today’s affluent travelers are looking for.
  • Work closely with the Head of Hotel Operations to develop and improve consistent entertainment programming fleetwide.
  • Represent the department with international offices internally and externally to coordinate, drive and direct the strategic vision of the onboard program.
  • Follow ratings trends for fleet entertainment and enrichment, using this data to support our on-board teams in their efforts to continuously improve the entertainment product.
  • Partner and collaborate with executive and senior management shore side to achieve key initiatives together with Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage, Marketing, Entertainment, Human Resources, Revenue, Deployment, and Marine Operations, Onboard Revenue.
  • Partners with and directs the shipboard senior leadership, liaising with Hotel Directors, Cruise Directors and the Executive Committee to drive the operational and marketing needs in supporting the program.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education required
  • 5+ years managerial experience required
  • 3+ years of shipboard experience preferred

  • Demonstrated tenacity and the ability to promote a strong unified team environment from direct reports.
  • Able to build relationships with decision-makers of all operational areas, as well as the team both onboard and shore side.
