The Chief Financial Officer position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. This is a client direct hire position.


Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements financial planning and analysis, profitability enhancement, long-term strategic and financial planning, merger and acquisition planning and execution and financial business of the company.
  • Jointly manage banking relationships with Controller.
  • Build treasury function.
  • Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the department and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
  • Works with the accounting and IT teams to fully upgrade and implement MRP system changes and new capabilities.
  • Drafts and implements policies and best practices to support achievement of objectives and required standards.
  • Drafts business plans for new products, services, and markets.
  • Ensures availability of adequate and appropriate equipment, staffing, and systems; recommends additional staffing and services.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS).
  • Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance and capital markets including technological advances.
  • Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to improve productivity.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Chief Financial Officer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience in banking, private equity or corporate treasury.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
