Overview:

We are in search of a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations within the construction sector in the Detroit area. This pivotal role will involve overseeing the financial strategy and management for our general contracting business, which engages in various commercial, infrastructure, and civil construction projects across the Midwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the principal finance leader, reporting directly to the president and CEO.
  • Manage the complete accounting and finance functions across multiple office locations.
  • Ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and strategic oversight.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, tax compliance, and audit functions.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in finance and accounting within the construction industry.
  • Experience working for a general contractor, construction manager, design-build, or EPC firm.
  • Strong skills in communication, time management, personnel management, leadership, and strategic planning.
  • A stable employment history, with at least 5 years at a single organization.
  • Previous experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Controller with an annual revenue exceeding $75 million.
