Under broad supervision, supports the relationships with existing network clients by providing input to improve workflow to ensure customer satisfaction, recommends processes, templates and standards for customer support.

Supports loyalty and segmentation programs including monitoring the application of systems including policies and procedures, operating structure and information flow.

Role will require some international travel.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and builds a positive relationship with network clients and local business partners.
  • Maintains a network that works for all geographies (USA, Canada, Europe) and product lines (Commercial and Specialty including working with existing partners, identifying new partners and better utilizing our owned offices.
  • Ensures a compliant, well-run network. Works with legal and ceded reinsurnace to manage key contracts with affiliate companies.
  • Works with business units and global partners to establish relationships. Provides guidance and training to others regarding CNA's International Network. Ensures expectations are met by underwriting partners and ensures agreement by all partners.
  • Leverages technology in the management of Multinational programs. Creates tools to better position CNA as an international player.
  • Regularly communicates with network clients and business partners to provide an update onthe company as well as the external market place.
  • Represents the team in meetings with management and provides input for management decision making.
  • Evaluates network needs, identifies countries needing representation and coordinates new partners.
  • Identifies educational gaps within the network and resolves issues.
  • Works closely with International Underwriting to communicate changes to ensure understanding.
  • Secures, creates and manages underwriting tools (CNA ComPassTM, Fronting Facility Guide, UR form, Global Network Services bulletins, etc.) on behalf of the network.
  • Keeps current on legal issues and regulations, industry activity and trends.

Vice President or above

  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of underwriting processes, coverage's, and tools to gather and evaluate information in order to reach appropriate decisions on international placements.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners within scope of responsibility, team and/or matrix environment.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, exercise influence, and manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
  • Develops action plans for process improvement and drives them to completion.
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent.
  • Typically a minimum of fouryears of related work experience.
  • Bilingual preferred
