Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of IT infrastructure operations, including physical and virtual servers, network connectivity, storage solutions, VDI support, daily backups, and VOIP systems.
  • Implement and upgrade servers in accordance with established protocols.
  • Manage both production and operational components of on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructures.
  • Revise IT documentation as necessary; contribute to the development of IT strategic initiatives; prepare IT proposals and recommendations for leadership.
  • Plan and execute server patch management during non-business hours.
  • Monitor and evaluate EDR/XDR alerts (events, security, firewall, etc.) and resolve related issues.
  • Respond to user help desk inquiries and provide ongoing updates throughout the resolution process. Document all actions taken to address each ticket.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot, repair, enhance, and upgrade both hardware and software systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Over 2 years of experience with VMWare technologies.
  • More than 2 years of experience in network management, Windows system administration, and desktop support.
  • At least 1 year of experience with storage area networks.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud services is a plus.
  • Prepared to address help desk issues as they arise.
  • Ability to stay informed about technological advancements and security updates.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture principles.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and requests, meeting deadlines, and delivering accurate results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and assist end users effectively.
