Position Title: X-ray Technologist
Position Overview
As an X-ray Technologist, you will be responsible for managing patient records within the Athena EMR system. Your role will involve providing compassionate care to patients while clearly explaining the imaging procedures. You will proficiently operate digital X-ray systems and imaging equipment, particularly for orthopedic cases. It is essential to accurately interpret and execute the physician's directives while ensuring that all necessary information is scanned into the PACS system.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate high-quality diagnostic images by utilizing appropriate positioning and techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the X-ray room following examinations and procedures.
- Gather patient information and chart notes specifically for fluoroscopy examinations.
- Document fluoroscopy duration and prepare necessary paperwork for the Radiologist.
- Exhibit thorough knowledge and adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct routine Quality Control checks on a daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
- Collaborate across various specialties within the practice, including orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, and spinal care.
Essential Skills
- ARRT certification is required.
- Experience in performing AP, lateral, and oblique imaging scans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive bedside manner.
- Capacity to manage a high volume of patients daily.
