Benefits Specialist II

The Benefits Specialist II will support the Benefits Manager by providing administrative support in implementing company-wide health and welfare benefit programs and policies. This position is a remote-telework role. US Citizenship is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration, monitoring and day-to-day health and welfare benefit plans to ensure these plans are administered in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
- Assist with Open Enrollment preparation, setup, and testing.
- Provide support to HR Reps and employees in resolving benefit data issues and questions.
- Prepare/process monthly premium vendor payments.
- Perform data maintenance and updates to employee records in the BenAdmin system.
- Assist in the delivery of benefit presentations, communications and conduct annual benefits meetings/webinars.
- Assist in training field Human Resources Representatives regarding benefit policies, procedures and processes.
- Review/process weekly Service Contract Act Health & Welfare payments.
- Process payroll benefits deductions and perform reconciliations.
- Monitor the Leave of Absence and Benefits mailboxes and respond to inquiries.
- Review cases from the Benefit Administrator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Position may require 10% travel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with confidential materials and employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Good written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Excel and Word and other integrated software applications
- Working knowledge of HR databases and associated report writing functions
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Two years of experience may be substituted for every year of the degree.
- 5 years of job-related/benefit-related experience or equivalent.
- Experience with Government Contacting, Service Contract Act, and Workday is preferred.
