Florham Park (Remote)

We are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join our dynamic team. Position reports to Manager of Corporate EEO, who reports to Sr. Director of Labor Relations.

The Employee Relations/Equal Employment Opportunities (ER/EEO) Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with non-discriminatory laws. The position is responsible for assisting in the management of all regional complaint investigations received from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), or any federal, state or local agency to ensure adherence with the company's ER/EEO, and anti-discrimination policies and compliance with all federal, state, local government regulatory requirements. This position reports into the Manager of Corporate EEO and partners with SHRMA's & SHRBA's, Manager Resource Team, legal, business unit senior management and project teams in supporting proactive strategies to ensure BASF's business goals and ER/EEOcompliance requirements are continually met.

The position is remote, and it will be based in our Florham Park, NJ office and may require maximum 20% business travel within the U.S. footprint.

  • Facilitating investigations, writing investigative summaries, assessing policy applicability, providing advice and recommendations for corrective action to all levels of management.
  • Writing position statements for state and federal government agencies, assessing risk elements to complaints to determine whether to recommend settlement or defense of complaints, liaising with government agencies to mediate resolutions of external complaints.
  • Facilitating training relative to compliance areas of opportunity.
  • Compiling data from multiple systems to analyze trends.

If you...
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in business or other related degree; or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Have 3-5 years recent hands-on responsibility for ER/EEO compliance, complaint investigations, and preparing compliance reports.
  • Have experience developing and delivering training programs related to ER/EEO obligations.
  • Are familiar with Success Factors (applicant tracking system) & SAP.
  • Posses experience with conflict resolution, strong writing, organizational and time management skills.
  • Have strong knowledge and understanding of ER/EEO laws and federal regulations (Title VII Federal Regulations).
  • Have the hability to handle highly sensitive and confidential topics.
  • Posses experience conducting investigations at all employee levels.

Pay transparency

In accordance with applicable law, BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $128,000.00 to $158, Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience and other job related factors permitted by law.
