What will you do?

A day in the life of a Market Development Representative at Timberland PRO looks a little like this.

The Market Development Representative will represent Timberland PRO with key account retailers and other prospective customers while developing long-term business relationships. Working in tandem with a Senior Account Executive (AE), you will identify opportunities to place Timberland PRO footwear, grow assortment and make sure PRO shows up properly visualized in all points of distribution. • Assist the Senior AE with selling to and managing key accounts.
  • Be responsible for all new product templates, technical clinics, merchandising and promotions and special events for these key accounts with local, regional, and national touches determined by the Senior AE. Additionally, you may take part in the same on a broader national level decided by the Director of Sales or the National Sales Manager.
  • Be accountable for accurate reporting of all activities back to the Senior AE on a weekly basis and may be asked for additional reporting as deemed necessary by the Senior AE from time to time.
  • Attend regional and national tradeshows when necessary.
  • Create a service distinction with these key retail partners through detailed account visit planning and a thorough understanding of our customer's business.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace (competitor information, consumer understanding, current/future market opportunities, etc.)
  • Ensure proper visual standards are being adhered to by our customers, work proactively and collaboratively with the Senior AE to properly leverage marketing programs, and support and leverage Timberland's commerce and justice platform.
