Position Overview:
This essential role involves managing sales operations for our proprietary Annuity products (MEMBERS Annuities) across a specified geographic region. The primary goal of this position is to enhance growth in annuity deposits (AUM), which is a critical objective for the Company. The role includes spearheading sales initiatives and activities for face-to-face (F2F) distribution through registered representatives in the independent broker-dealer (IBD) and bank/credit union sectors.
This position emphasizes business growth and development. Success is dependent on cultivating and expanding advisor relationships, delivering exceptional investment sales training and support, and implementing effective product sales programs and strategies.
A Consultant in this role provides strategic insights on management, operations, and business structure. They perform comprehensive analyses, identify challenges, gather data, develop business proposals, oversee projects and programs, and recommend solutions based on specialized knowledge within their field. Consultants work collaboratively with clients to identify needs or issues, define the scope of necessary investigations, analyze data to determine optimal solutions, and explore alternative approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships through proactive sales efforts.
- Keep current advisors informed about TruStage Annuities products and provide timely business-building sales recommendations.
- Reach out to potential advisors within the designated area to increase TruStage Annuities deposits and market presence.
- Collaborate with a remote virtual Regional Sales Associate (RSA) and internal sales desk to manage operations effectively.
- Participate in Company and independent broker-dealer meetings, conferences, and events.
- Stay informed about all TruStage Annuities products, economic trends, and market conditions relevant to annuity and investment product sales.
- Assist representatives in enhancing their investment knowledge, communication and sales skills, and business development through F2F meetings, webinars, and outbound calls.
- Support advisor sales efforts by aiding in the organization of client seminars and individual sales presentations (point-of-sale).
- Manage resources allocated by our Company, including territory marketing and travel & entertainment budget.
- This role is accountable for:
- Meeting Territory Sales Goals
- Achieving year-over-year territory growth
- Conducting Face-to-Face appointments and other proactive sales actions

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent work experience of 4+ years.
- 3-5+ years of prior experience in wholesaling investment products (preferred).
- Experience in retail F2F sales of similar investment products within an institutional environment. Established relationships in the independent broker-dealer (IBD) sector are advantageous.
- Mandatory possession of FINRA Securities Industry Essentials Examination, Series 6 and 63 licenses. Life and Variable Licenses are required.
- Preferred industry designations (CPA, CFA, ChFC, CLU, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in sales and marketing of annuities, variable products, investment solutions, and their appropriate utilization in a needs-based sales process.
- Proficient in oral and written communication.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions in allocating company resources for business growth. Strong organizational and territory management capabilities.
- Self-driven, with the capacity to work autonomously and under pressure.
- Willingness and ability to travel within a large geographic territory.

Base Salary Range:
$58,000 - $97,900.00
