Job Title: Project Engineer (New York Area)

In search of a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Audio, Video, and Control engineering to support sales, design, installation, and programming of bespoke audio-video systems. Collaborating with the Project Manager is crucial to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and meet high-quality standards. Communication within the organization and managing client expectations will be key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission systems to ensure functionality and reliability
  • Travel for site inspections, commissioning, and training
  • Test systems during fabrication and installations
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager for system modifications
  • Regular updates with on-site progress and issues
  • Assist in the design and quoting of audio-video systems
  • Provide training for client staff
  • Generate necessary documentation and perform updates
  • Maintain work log and timesheets
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements:

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in commissioning Audio-Visual systems
  • Effective communication skills
  • AVIXA CTS-D certification or ability to obtain
  • Experience with various control systems
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with programming Audio-Visual equipment
  • 2-3 years of experience in commissioning AV Systems
  • Computer proficiency

Preferred Skills:

  • Programming knowledge of Audio-Visual equipment
  • Proficiency in AV systems programming language
  • Experience with SMAART and networking concepts
  • 4-5 years of AV Systems commissioning experience

Qualifications:

  1. Technical degree or equivalent experience
  2. Minimum ten years of Audio-Visual Industry experience
  3. Hands-on installation experience
  4. AVIXA CTS-D certification or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. CCNA Certification
  2. Q-SYS Certification - Level II
  3. Biamp Forte Certification
  4. SMAART Operator Certification - Level I

*Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000. Remote work may be considered with travel required.
