Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Engineering Project Coordinator, you will:
1. Manage the technical dimensions of projects from inception through to operational phases.
2. Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in core engineering practices.
3. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project engineers, fostering their professional growth.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and design methodologies relevant to the photovoltaic (PV), energy storage systems (ESS), and electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) sectors.
- Familiarity with structural, civil, and geotechnical engineering design practices applicable to commercial and utility-scale projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, including clients, regulatory bodies, and contractors.
- Mastery of the National Electric Code, with the capability to interpret and apply code requirements effectively.
- A comprehensive understanding of local building and fire codes, including the ability to identify and apply relevant requirements to project designs.
- Experience in the development and execution of commercial and community solar PV and ESS projects.
- Proficiency in specifying low and medium voltage electrical equipment typical for commercial and utility systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably with a focus on power systems) or Mechanical Engineering.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and PVsyst.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be advantageous:
- Experience with arc-flash, arc-fault, and coordination studies using ETAP or SKM software.
- Knowledge of relay protection design and programming.
- Familiarity with SCADA and DAS systems installation and configuration.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, SharePoint, and Salesforce.
- Professional Engineer Licensure and NABCEP PV Installer Certification.
