Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to become an integral part of our team, working on some of the most challenging and high-visibility infrastructure projects. In this position, you will be essential in the planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale construction initiatives, ensuring that all engineering components adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, and execution of construction initiatives, ensuring adherence to engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to synchronize project activities, timelines, and resources.
  • Prepare, review, and oversee project documentation, including engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with project plans, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
  • Work alongside architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Support the procurement process by preparing and reviewing material requisitions, submittals, and change orders.
  • Assist in managing project budgets, implementing cost control measures, and developing risk management strategies.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical insights and updates on progress to the project team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in heavy civil construction, particularly in infrastructure projects.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within stringent deadlines.
  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license is advantageous.
